MyFaces allows users to compose a collage of pictures of my face from when I was young to the present. Using the mouse, you can create a dynamic collage of my faces from pictures taken over different time intervals. The theme of the project is to juxtapose a representation of myself before I used computers to my current work with computers. The screen on the left allows users to create a composite of my faces when I was young while their movements are tracked and mirrored onto the right side of the screen. On the left, my images and backgrounds are varied along with my skin tone since I spent many hours outside as a child. On the right, the pictures are more uniform and my face is pale and non-changing, an example of how I sit in front of the computer everyday and dont venture outside as often. When interacting with the piece, your movements are focused on the left screen and mirror on the right, a testament to the fact that when I was younger, I spent more time creating with my hands, while now most tasks I engage in are automated on computers.
